Low-Friction
Our unique series of low-friction, corrosion-resistant coatings provide dry-lubricating properties consisting of flouropolymer technology. These coatings exhibit the lowest friction coefficient of any known substance. KECO also offers moly and graphite solid film lubricants that work in conjunction with liquid lubrication. In some applications, our low-friction coatings eliminate liquid lubrication altogether.
Featuring excellent low and high temperature resistance as well – performing at cryogenics temperatures of -250°F to extreme high temperatures of 1200°F, KECO’s low-friction coatings can offset heavy metal plating and potentially minimize the need of costly secondary operations such as polishing and lapping. Applications include piston skirts, bearings, splines, slides, shafts, plungers, gears, seatbelts, and brake components.
KECO 100: A non-stick liquid Teflon® coating, it offers lubrication for heat-sensitive substrates and release properties resistant to extreme temperatures. This one coat process is excellent for low-friction and resists most aggressive organic and inorganic solvents. Available in a variety of colors, it is able to resist heat reaching up to 500°F and down to cryogenic temperatures. This FDA compliant coating is used for a wide variety of applications, including shoe, food, and rotational molds, mixers, rollers, printing press ink pans and sumps, hoppers, vibratory feeders, and dies. KECO 500: This resin-bonded lubricant coating is designed to provide dry film lubrication for a variety of industrial, commercial, and military applications. Offering solid film lubrication, it meets requirements for chemical resistance, anti-galling, and wear resistance of military specifications. Providing lifetime lubrication for components that are inaccessible after assembly, it functions reliably even after long periods with no maintenance. Effective performance is achieved even with thin films, .0003 inches (8 microns) thick, so there is little interference with operating tolerances.
