Ceramics/Thermal Barrier
KECO’S ceramic coating family has the performance characteristics of a dry film lubricant and operates under extreme temperatures — when Teflon® and other coatings fail. Exceeding the limitations of polytetrafluoroethylene (PFTE) and resistant up to 1300° – 2000°F, KECO ceramic coatings are formulated for thermal barrier applications such as glass delivery and automotive exhaust systems (headers, intakes, and manifolds), as well as piston coatings, aiding in thermo-barrier protection.
Cerakote®: Offering high-temperature ceramic coatings for a variety of applications, including automotive, Cerakote is an industry leader that is used by more manufacturers than any other high-temperature paint. KECO is factory trained and certified in the application of Cerakote. Click here for Product Data Sheet.
KECO XL2000: Designed as the most intense heat shielding barrier, withstanding temperatures up to 2000°F, KECO XL2000™is engineered especially for turbos, high performance diesel and racing applications. Intended to be applied primarily to exhaust components, its properties will remain color stable and stain resistant. As a result of its unique ceramic nature, the coating also functions as a very effective thermal barrier, with reduced thermal radiation characteristics. The coating cures to a hard, durable surface with excellent adhesion. Click here for Product Data Sheet.
KECO 400: A metallic ceramic coating with performance characteristics of a dry film lubricant, this coating is formulated for thermal barrier applications. Heat resistant up to 1200°F, KECO 400 resists most aggressive organic and inorganic solvents. It can be used in a variety of applications, including on glass containers, turbine engines, discs, spacers mufflers, exhaust pipes, manifolds, and engine bolts. Click here for Product Data Sheet.
KECO 400 BV: Designed for both metal and non-metal substrates, it withstand extreme temperatures up to 1600º F without discoloring. Offering protection against corrosive environments and thermal shock, this coating maintains excellent adhesion even after several thermal cycles. VOC-exempt, it cures at room temperature and can be applied to exhausts, pistons, and high temp systems. Click here for Product Data Sheet.
