I’m proud and pleased to announce that KECO Coatings is celebrating 40 years in business in 2020!
My passion for the industry began when I was a teenager working in my grandfather’s industrial painting business servicing the Department of Defense and aircraft engine supply chain.
I started selling Teflon® coating services for his business and we started to activate new customers to the point we needed to expand. He was in his 70s at the time so I had a discussion with him about spinning off a company to focus on offering industrial Teflon® coatings as well as other performance coatings for industrial applications.
With his blessing, I leased 3,000 square feet from one of our suppliers and started spraying Teflon® coatings and never looked back! My new job description became selling the coating service during business hours and applying the coatings for our new customers at night.
Over the past 40 years, KECO has grown to include ceramic coatings, high-volume powder and liquid Teflon® coatings as well as plasma and thermal spray coatings. We have grown from that initial 3,000 square feet to 100,000 square feet at our Indianapolis headquarters and have established a second coating facility in Statesville, North Carolina.
Our industries served include aircraft, automotive, CPI, food processing, HVAC, lighting OEM, packaging, pharmaceutical, semiconnductor, transportation, and more!
But we are not just about volume. Every product that comes through our facility is guaranteed quality and reliability. We are awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Our commitment to our customers is shipping their orders within 5-7 days after we receive them as well as enhancing our coating portfolio to offer more value to them. In fact, going forward, we will be introducing new non-stick coating applications for composites and carbon fiber applications. Stay tuned!
I’m proud of all our employee team members who work so hard to serve over 500 customers annually in North America. We are “all in” with our approach to business — we are only as good as our last order.
After 40 years in business, I’m looking forward to further serving our valued customers and continued success with our engineered coatings.
